AUCB - Specialist Make-up Courses Summer 2012

The Arts University College at Bournemouth (AUCB) offers you a chance to join their unique International Summer School for 2012. Our highly acclaimed teaching staff and state-of-the-art dedicated studios and learning resources, provide the ideal environment to inspire and educate you. Intensive summer courses include Period Costume, Photography, Make Up, Acting and Textiles and take place at our award winning University College for 1-8 weeks from June to September.

We are pleased to announce two specialist Make-up courses for Summer 2012:

Introduction to Make-Up (3 weeks)
Taught by skilled members of our BA (Hons) Make-Up for Media and Performance team, this course will give you the opportunity to work in a professional environment. Through a series of workshops you will develop your design, technical and practical skills in areas such as special effects make-up for film, contemporary fashion hair and make-up, period make-up and wig work.


Special Effects Prosthetics (8 weeks)
This 8 week course offers an in-depth learning experience delivering specialist knowledge of FX make-up for film and performance. Led by our BA (Hons) Make-Up for Media and Performance team, the course includes visits and lectures from well-known industry professionals and daily access to studios, workshops, resin and casting rooms. £1,000 worth of material is included in the course fee.
