This bespoke part-time course covers all of the essential skills of make-up from the founding principles of beauty to more advanced techniques. Fashion make-up is introduced in historical and contemporary contexts and examines make-up from the 1920’s onwards.
The part-time format of this course will also be of particular interest to those looking for a career change, or wishing to refresh, extend or update existing skills.
Course outline:
Topics in brief: related anatomy, health and safety practises, skin care, the use of tools and products, basic principles of highlighting and shading, mixing and blending, the application of primers and bases, beauty make-up for day and evening. You’ll also cover bridal make-up, corrective make-up (contouring and face shaping), artificial eye lashes, the history of make-up, vintage glamour and contemporary fashion looks.
