PROSTHETICS MAKE-UP ARTIST URGENTLY NEEDED FOR FACE CASTING

We are filming a short film based on a reworking of Hansel and Gretel this January.

A crucial part of the story is the character of Hansel gaining a lot of weight.

We are urgently looking for someone to do, or monitor, the face casting, and facilities in which to do it - before we shoot on January 4th.

We have a prosthetics make-up artist able to do all of the moulding and fitting, but for health and safety and practical reasons we need someone with a bit more experience to help with the face casting (which should in theory take less than half a day). However, if the prosthetics work is also something you would be interested in, we could talk about this.

We are unfortunately only a low budget production but we would be willing to negotiate a small fee for your service/facilities as it's such short notice and around Christmas time.

The film is a re-imagining of the classic Brothers Grimm Tale, Hansel and Gretel. Set in a surrealist, modern yet somehow timeless world with minimal dialogue and heavy focus on the intriguing visuals of the fairy tale. The genre of the short will evoke the brevity and simplicity of the tale and art of storytelling. The style will recapture the grotesque essence that features so prominently in the original Brothers Grimm.
