Altuzarra professional make-up artist goes for grunge in NY
Altuzarra professional make-up artist goes for grunge in NY Distressed looks seem to be one of the major trends emerging from New York Fashion Week, with professional make-up artist Tom Pechaux giving the Joseph Altuzarra models a messed-up style.

Professional make-up artist Diane Kendal also went for the tomboy, grunge look for the Alexander Wang Pier 94 show.

Pechaux, who is also Estee Lauder's new creative make-up director, told the New York Times: "I would rather my girls look like they had just left the club than like they were leaving a beauty salon."

"When you think of sexy, you think of black eyes," he told the newspaper, saying that he applied a sheer layer of MAC Smolder Eye Kohl across the lid and below the eye.

He topped this with MAC's new lip gloss, Meow, and streaked a burgundy-coloured lipstick under the eyes for the end-of-the-night look.

Meanwhile, professional make-up artist Gucci Westman revealed to Style.com that Kate Moss was the inspiration for the slept-in look she created for the Rag & Bone show.
