Armani professional make-up artist glams up minimalism
Armani professional make-up artist glams up minimalism We've had grunge and supernude, could minimalism with a shot of glamour be the next big trend brought to the fore by professional make-up artists?

The Armani show at Milan Fashion Week featured models with a striking arc of red and black painted across the eyelid.

Lisa Cantello, make-up artist for Giorgio Armani cosmetics, described the look as "the nineties - Armanified".

"The look is a return to minimalism, but with a shot of glamour," she told WWD.com.

She referred to the fact that that the models were given dewy complexions as a backdrop to the dramatic sweep of colour painted like an eyebrow across the lid.

The professional make-up artist told the news provider that she used lip pencils to create these second brows.

London Fashion Week saw plenty of minimalistic looks on show, with Charlotte Tilbury going for the "no make-up make-up" effect on models for Julian Macdonald's collection.
