Professional makeup artists have been told that when it comes to autumn, the biggest trends are all about creating classical elegance and the barely-there fresh-faced look.
According to Marie-Andree Guimont, writing for Divine, makeup has taken a more sophisticated turn and one of the main features of the forthcoming season will be perfect, flawless skin.
"This fall when it comes to style, we're thinking classic cuts and natural materials. It's simple: fashion essentials of a classic wardrobe can be seen in all stores. And, of course, this transcends into the makeup realm, as well," she explained.
Ms Guimont went on to recommend Guerlain Lingerie de Peau Fluid Foundation , Clarins Palette Prodige Face & Blush Powder and Lancome Ombre Magnétique Eyeshadow (in Black Macadam) as the must-have staples of the forthcoming season.
For the lips, following in the footsteps of Chanel red is still all the rage, and professional makeup artists were told that a new variation of this shade is ideal in the form of apricots or plum shades.
However, a more edgy take on this trend is the blackberry lip, recently showcased by rock-chick Scarlett Johansson's recent D&G campaign.
