Bright shades are in and nudes are out when it comes to nail trends, professional make-up artists have stressed.
"We're seeing a new revolution in colour," Nancy Rappaport, director of product development for Sephora Collection, told Canadian Press.
Opi's artistic director Suzi Weiss Fischmann added: "Spring starts with lots of bright shades."
"It's not only pinks; it's bright shades from green to blue, purple and orange."
Shimmery plums, medium blues, jade greens, dark mosses, turquoises and corals all feature in Opi, Sephora and Essie's Cosmetics' collections.
Lavender is another top colour for the spring, according to Ms Weiss-Fischmann, who described the shade as "feminine and demure".
Then of course there is the greige shade which has been lauded by professional make-up artists, celebrities and critics alike.
Chanel's Particuliere has taken the world by storm since debuting on catwalks in October and going on sale in January.
Professional make-up artist and salon owner Belinda Price predicted earlier in the year that demure colours would emerge this spring, although fun shades like jade green would still be on trend.
