Candy colours are set to be one of the major beauty trends this coming year, thanks to the work of professional make-up artists at the spring/summer catwalk shows.
John Galliano's Dior collection saw models wearing sweetie-inspired shades, with blues, yellows, pinks and purples all displayed on the runways.
Professional make-up artist for DKNY Charlotte Willer told Stylist magazine that she mixed Vaseline with shadow and dabbed it onto the end of the lashes for a subtle look.
Lisa Butler, MAC's professional make-up artist working on the Emilio Pucci models used a lemon above and below the eye.
"The accent on the eye is like a piece of jewellery for the face," she explained to the magazine.
Jamie Coombes, professional make-up artist for Dior in the UK, added that he uses candy pink blusher rather than bronzer to sculpt the face in the winter.
Elle magazine recently reported that the natural look is here to stay after professional make-up artists used it for autumn/winter 2009 shows, sealing it as a major trend for this year.
