Celebrities choosing burlesque glamour
Makeup school students looking to keep ahead of the most up-to-date fashion trends should take tips from celebrities choosing a burlesque style, it has been said.

The Sun's Live It Woman section identified singers Paloma Faith and Katy Perry as leading the decadent cosmetic trend, which requires a "matte and flawless" complexion using concealer.

Eyebrows need to be defined using an eyebrow pencil which is a shade darker than the natural colour, while eyeshadow should be "smoky", making use of colours such as grey or purple, the newspaper advised.

"We all know that the burlesque look means you have to have red lips - but they must be matte and not shiny. For the perfect pout use a liner to add great definition and exaggerate the sexy bow shape of your lips," it added.

Nancy Rappaport, director of product development for Sephora Collection, recently told Canadian Press that bright shades are in when it comes to nail trends, which could match the burlesque look.
