Celebrities work bronzed look at Met Gala
Celebrities work bronzed look at Met Gala The annual Met Gala at New York's Metropolitan Museum of Art is always an indication of the top looks for the summer as celebrities show off professional make-up artists' handiwork on the red carpet.

One of the key trends to emerge from this year's gala was the bronzed look. Professional make-up artists tending to Sarah Jessica Parker and Kate Hudson chose to give the stars a golden glow.

Both actresses went for nude gowns and matched these with sun-kissed cheeks, copper eye shadow and neutral lips.

SJP's look was a little more dramatic, with more of a focus on lashes and darker eyes, whereas the How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days star opted for a more muted effect.

The effect is defined by natural make-up but with a golden edge, according to Dana Oliver, writing for Aol.com's stylelist.

"Hudson was simply gorgeous with understated make-up that she kicked up a few notches by brushing on a highlighting bronzer," she commented.

TV presenter Tess Daly has also identified that sun-kissed skin will be a top trend for this summer.
