Amy Lawrenson, writing for Elle, has explained that no wonder curls are totally back on trend, as they are a simple way of adding instant glamour and with relative ease.

"Whitney [Port] and Rose [Byrne] have opted for super defined curls to add movement and volume to their hair, while Olivia [Palmero] and Jessica [Biel] have gone for looser tresses with a groomed but effortless finish," she asserted.

Meanwhile, other celebs to opt for rouge-ish curls are Alexa Chung and Maggie Gyllenhaal, who have both shown that the look can work just as well for those with the also on trend bob.

The other take on the autumn must-have was less flyaway and more preened. Ms Biel and Ms Palermo showed, the loosely curled and sleek 'do also looks fab.
