Most professional hair stylists know that when it comes to the trends for this season, the summer crop has been a big driving force in many women's quest for a new look.
The latest star to embrace the style is Harry Potter star Emma Watson, who has taken the plunge and lopped off her long brunette locks with lovely blonde highlights for the short 'do.
Apparently the star feels "liberated", but while she feels pleased with her style, only half of the female population are.
She wrote on her Twitter account: "Cut my hair off a few days ago ... It feels incredible. I love it. I've wanted to do this for years and years."
The Hollywood Blog went about finding out how the nation feel about her new look and to date - only 53 per cent like the look and 46 per cent prefer her long golden locks.
It will remain to be seen as to whether the Burberry model's drastic change is embraced by the nation, considering how we all raved about Michelle Williams and Hayden Panetierre when they had the chop.
