Exaggerated eyelashes 'a fashion-forward trend'
Exaggerated eyelashes 'a fashion-forward trend' One writer's description of this season's beauty trends may inspire makeup artists to be bold with their styles.

In an article for Inside Ireland, Lauryn Mann explained how "daring and adventurous" fashions are on trend.

She recommended investing in high-statement false eyelashes, which are a must-have and will "ensure your eyes are your most precious accessory over the coming months".

For a particularly "show-stopping" effect, Ms Mann suggested combining metallic-coloured shadows with the accessories in order to achieve an "alluring" look.

Those who need inspiration may want to refer to the Bambi-eye trend that was sparked in the 60s by model Twiggy, who adopted an iconic appearance.

Plenty of volume-boosting mascara and black eyeliner was recommended by Ms Mann as the best way to recreate the style.

Makeup artist Jules Cardozo-Marsh recently described how 80s-inspired looks proved popular at London Fashion Week, with "fun, flirty" shades making a comeback.
