Makeup artists working with Marc Jacobs on his New York Fashion Week show have given insider tips on this season's looks.
Speaking backstage at the event, beauty expert Francois Nars described how the designer wanted to focus on strong brows and give the eyes a "dreamy" appearance.
Numerous shadows were applied to the lids and black eyeliner was smudged along the lower lash line to give a soft look.
Several coats of mascara coated the top and lower eyelashes for a dramatic affect, designed to make it appear like the models had slept in their makeup.
When it came to nails, Elisa Ferri used neutral shades, adapted to complement the girls' skin tones, which helped to ensure the colour did not distract from Jacobs' clothing designs.
New York Fashion Week started on Thursday (February 9th) and finishes tomorrow, with Victoria Beckham among a host of designers to showcase their collections at the event.
