'Ghetto fabulous' look created by professional make-up artist
'Ghetto fabulous' look created by professional make-up artist "Ghetto fabulous" was the theme for the House of Holland show at London Fashion Week, professional make-up artist Lois Moorcroft has revealed.

Ms Moorcroft, a resident trainer at MAC, told the Metro that the look was driven by Holland's designs, which drew inspiration from downtown New York stoop kids.

"Holland's idea is that these are girls who have been hanging round with the fashion crowd so have got a better understanding of what's trendy and what's not," she explained.

Professional make-up artist Lucia Peroni, who worked on the House of Holland show, wanted to keep the models looking bronzed because they would be ex-fake tan users, Ms Moorcroft explained.

A team of MAC make-up artists worked on the show, while stylists from Sebastian Professional and Hobs Salons created the ghetto-inspired hair for the collection.

Professional make-up artist Pat McGrath went for a similar theme for the Bottega Veneta show in Milan, creating a street sexy look for the models.
