Grey hair trend hots up among celebrities
Grey hair trend hots up among celebrities Grey locks are becoming popular with young celebrities but that won't stop older stars from covering up silver strands, according to a professional hair stylist.

Kelly Osbourne and Pixie Geldof have been working the grey look, while popstar Lady Gaga and model Agyness Deyn have been experimenting with silver streaks.

Professional hair stylists have even brought grey to the catwalk, with Dior and Chanel's spring shows in Paris and New York featuring silver flashes.

However, the trend is strictly for the young, as 36-year-old Kate Moss was pilloried for sporting grey streaks last month and promptly got rid of them.

"To get steel grey you have to have pigment to dye, and it really looks better if you have other warmer tones to balance it," hairdresser Stephani Paul from Glasgow told the Guardian.

The professional hair stylist told the newspaper that the older a person is, the less flattering grey usually is, predicting that women of a certain age would not stop coming in for a cover-up.

Carol Cini, stylist and co-owner of Taz hair salon, recently told Canwest News Service that colour is going natural this season.
