Metallic eyeshadows and highlighters 'catwalk must-haves'
Metallic eyeshadows and highlighters 'catwalk must-haves' Spring/summer 2012 is set to see bold colours and metallic shades dominate beauty trends.

This is according to makeup artist Jules Cardozo-Marsh, who explained how "fun, flirty" shades and 80s-inspired looks were popular at London Fashion Week.

"Go for creamy eyeshadows with a metallic finish for a fresh way to wear bold colours and brighten eyes," she recommended, adding that orange-toned red lips are on-trend.

Alternatively, matte lipsticks in honeysuckle tones and hot pink shades were described as set to be popular in the new year.

To accentuate cheekbones, Ms Cardozo-Marsh suggested applying highlighters in "gunmetal bronze" shades as they add an "ethereal" glow to skin.

It was noted that full eyebrows were a key look at many shows, while black mascara and matching eyeliner help to complete eyes.

Elsewhere, those looking for ways to transform their daytime appearance into something more striking for the evening, were recently advised by beauty editor at KissandMakeup.tv Zara Rabinowicz to apply lipstick.
