New Year 'perfect for sparkling makeup'
New Year 'perfect for sparkling makeup' New Years Eve has been described as a great time to opt for "daring and dramatic" beauty.

This is according to celebrity makeup artist and creator of Lorac cosmetics Carol Shaw, who described how the festive season provides the perfect opportunity to try something new.

"New Year's Eve is the time to shine and have fun being a girl," she stated, adding that ladies should "amp up your look with sparkle on your eyes, shoulders and decolletage".

Three makeup styles suggested by Ms Shaw were smoky eyes with a light lip, bronzed skin and old Hollywood glamour.

Women were encouraged to apply a winged look around the eyes with black liner, define their brows and showcase red lips for a classic chic appearance.

Meanwhile, bronzer was recommended as a great way to achieve a golden glow and charcoal greys and deep purples were noted as modern shades for rock-chic eyes.

Elsewhere, Daily Telegraph writer Kate Shapland recently described how metallic nails are the latest beauty trend.ADNFCR-2992-ID-801250465-ADNFCR
