Sophisticated styles will be big this spring and summer, so professional make-up artists are likely to be creating classy looks as well.
Shelly Vella, fashion director at Cosmopolitan, said that Phoebe Philo at fashion label Celine has influenced other designers and her aesthetic has also had a profound effect on the high street.
Monochromatic pieces are part of this visual, while pinafores and shirtdresses were also a key feature of the collection. These styles are likely to translate into work wear, Ms Vella suggested.
Philo's collection featured a minimalist palette of nudes, beiges and camels, which were mixed in with black and white tones, so these may provide inspiration for professional make-up artists.
"I wanted to clean it up, refocus, and present a strong, powerful woman," the designer said.
Ex-Chloe designer Philo, who counts fellow Brit Stella McCartney among her friends, joined French fashion house Celine after an extended break from designing.
