Prepare the wardrobe for spring with layers
As the seasons change, professional photographers will see wardrobes changing for spring, with one expert saying that a gilet and good knitwear is essential.

Polly Vernon, deputy editor of Observer Woman Monthly, said that layers are essential when moving from winter to spring, adding that a gilet is a must, and something which professional photographers are likely to be seeing a lot of.

Among her recommendations are a leather one with a hint of biker-chic or a fringed or feathered number to add more drama.

Also in her spring transition wardrobe essentials are good tights, saying that people need to find tights which cover legs without making them look plastic. Socks are next on the list, to be used over the tights to create the essential layering look.

Ms Vernon added: "Once hosiery'd, we can do the shorts after all - also the skirts. We can even do a peep-toe shoe boot or clog."

People looking to their spring/summer wardrobe already can take a peek at Topshop's new SS 2010 collection, which works from a nude and grey pallete.ADNFCR-2992-ID-19671520-ADNFCR
