Professional hair stylist modernises minimalism for Stella McCartney
Professional hair stylist modernises minimalism for Stella McCartney Professional hair stylist Eugene Souleiman gave the natural, minimalistic look a modern twist for Stella McCartney's show at Paris Fashion Week.

"I think people are just bored with natural hair now," he told Allure magazine.

"This is a classic shape, but what makes it different is the contrast of the front being very shiny and chic and the ponytail being wild and raw," he added.

The professional hair stylist said that the low, wispy ponytail with a slicked crown he created was what he considered to be a modern look. He described it as "done" in some areas and "undone" in others.

Mr Souleiman told the magazine that he misted the front and sides of the hair with a styling spray, then created a diagonal side parting that curved around the head.

He then smoothed the top and sides of the hair and worked it into a low ponytail, which he fluffed with a brush to make it airy and wispy.

It is a trend that professional hair stylist Efi Davies, TONI&GUY international artistic director, recently predicted would be big in 2010, having seen the dual-textured finish at London Fashion Week.
