Professional hair stylist sparks neo-disco trend with J.Lo do Early 80s-inspired, neo-disco waves could be one of the big trends for this coming season if the work of a professional hair stylist is anything to go by.

This look was worn by Jennifer Lopez at the Grammy Awards, where she sported voluminous, bouncy waves in what US magazine described as a "Studio 54-in-the-early-80s" do.

J.Lo's below-the-shoulder blunt cut is key to this retro look, the magazine explained.

Professional hair stylist Robert Vetica used Moroccanoil products to create and hold the do in place, according to the publication.

"First he applied Morooccanoil Treatment to nourish strands, then he curled small sections with a one-inch iron," it explained.

"After brushing out the set hair, he locked on shine with Moroccanoil Luminous Hairspray," the magazine added.

Waves were also a popular look at the Golden Globes recently, with Zoe Saldana, Julia Roberts and Sandra Bullock each asking their professional hair stylist to create glamorous, voluminous dos.
