Halle Berry is sporting a bob on the cover of the September issue of US Vogue, which could lead to a rise in the number of people requesting the cut from professional hair stylists.
The Oscar-winning actress adopted the elfin look and paired it with a selection of velvet robes for the shoot, the Daily Mail has reported.
This is the first time that an African-American woman has been included on the front page of the September issue.
Berry said: "What that means for a woman of colour and what that means in the fashion world, what that means to pop culture, there was no way I could say 'No, I'm not going to be on the biggest issue of the year'."
The pixie crop is also growing in popularity, with Harry Potter actor Emma Watson adopting the look and cutting her trademark locks, which could interest professional hair stylists.
