Professional hair stylists: The bun is back
Professional hair stylists: The bun is back The bun has made a return at the close of this Spring/Summer's catwalk shows, professional hair stylists have been told.

Professional hairstylists may want to emulate the low, loosely done bun that was the look of the moment at the Nanette Lepore Spring 2011 show, or they may choose to follow other stylists who piled their model's hair higher for shows at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, Hollywood Life has reported.

The Alexandre Herchcovitch, Monique Lhuillier and Adam shows featured models with buns perched on the top of their heads, with one model's hair-do revealing the oversized grips holding it in place.

Of Hollywood Life readers, 33.87 per cent said a bun from the Monique Lhuillier show was their favourite and only 4.8 per cent voted for the kirby grip-exposing creation on an Alexandre Herchcovitch model.

Hollywood Life noted that celebs are also getting in on the act, too. Stylist Luca Blandi recently gave Jessica Simpson a relaxed ballet bun which she wore to several Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week events.
