Professional hair stylists are giving women extra oomph in their hair by fitting extensions in innovative new ways, according to an expert.
Jessica Hogan, writing for Vogue.co.uk, said that women are walking away from salons with "miraculously undetectable structure".
One hairdresser, Michaeljohn, is using 25 extensions attached to the lower layers of hair to provide a volume boost for the summer months.
"For show-stopping style, Hari's Hair & Beauty have launched their Glamour Red-Carpet Hair Booking using semi-permanent extensions (the glue lasts up to four days), for a full-bodied updo that is photo shoot-worthy, or at least ideal for the up-coming summer wedding season," added Ms Hogan.
Georgia Collins, writing for Elle, advised that professional hair stylists are creating works using retro braiding.
She added that among the new catwalk trends were relaxed braids, while Gimbattista Valli produced small fishtail plaits which weaved in and out of loose, airy lengths.
