Professional hairstylists: Go for hair with personality
Professional hairstylists: Go for hair with personality Recent hair styling trends are all about individuality and personality, professional hairstylists have been told.

Elle told professional hairstylists that this autumn "there is a look to suit everyone."

Deep red tones in the style of Florence Welch will be popular and make clients look brighter against the dull autumn landscape.

Elle said that the look is fairly high maintenance as the colour will have to be kept vibrant with frequent trips to the hairdressers.

Camel-hued hair in the style of Kate Hudson and Blake Lively has also been seen at all of this season's fashion shows. Hair should be blow dried and dyed a warm, butter coloured blonde.

Celebs such as the Olsen twins are adding pastel pieces to blonde hair, which gives depth and is more subtle than pastel throughout.

Highlighted ends and grown out roots, dubbed 'grunge roots' can also be suggested to clients with blonde and brunette hair. Drew Barrymore's extended roots and lighter, blonde ends are a good on-trend look to go for.

Drew recently teamed the look with ethnic-looking hoop earrings and subtle earrings to add to the grungy, laid-back feel of her hair.
