Professional make-up artist adds turquoise to colour trend
Professional make-up artist adds turquoise to colour trend Turquoise has become the latest colour to be brought to the forefront of fashion by a professional make-up artist.

Polly Osmond chose a bold, turquoise eyeliner for Nanette Lepore's spring 2010 show.

"Using the blue, I went right underneath the eye and on the inside rim as well. It's a bit smudgy," she explained to Elle magazine.

The professional make-up artist said that the look was based on "childlike innocence".

"It's as if a child got hold of a crayon and coloured under their eyes with it," she said.

Ms Osmond also tapped into a current trend by using orange for the lips and cheeks.

She was inspired by a thank-you card which was hanging on the wall during the makeup test for Nanette. It depicted a 60s-style model with blue-lined eyes and orange cheeks and lips.

Professional make-up artist Tom Pecheux also chose to use orange shades at Kenzo, using a peachy "dry mustard" colour on the eyes, temples and lips of the models.
