Professional make-up artist Dick Page combined pink and indigo for an uber cool look for the Yves Saint Laurent show at Paris Fashion Week.
Speaking to Allure magazine, he described the look as "poetic" and said that to create it he blended a matte fuchsia shadow along the brow bone and under the eyes. He toned down the pink by adding a touch of grey.
He then applied a thick stripe of black cream eyeliner along the top lashes and traced over this with indigo shadow.
"We were going to do just the black liner, but I thought the indigo looked more beautiful," the professional make-up artist explained to the magazine. "It tones down the pink shadow a bit."
For the lips, Mr Page went for a fuchsia colour with a grey undertone.
He said that the look reflected the "sexy authority" associated with an Yves Saint Laurent girl.
The effect was in sharp contrast to the look he created for the Celine show, where he went for pale faces and dark-rimmed eyes.
