Street sexy appears to be one of the looks to emerge from the Milan catwalks, with professional make-up artists going for a punky look.
Bottega Veneta designer Tomas Maier aimed for a subversive sexiness with his fall collection and this theme continued through hair and make-up.
Pat McGrath, the professional make-up artist behind the look, told Allure magazine: "Tomas's idea for the show is street sexy."
"She's a woman with character who's obsessed with make-up," Ms McGrath explained.
The professional make-up artist focused on the eyes in creating the look, applying a slick of black across the lids and up to the outer tip of the brow.
She used CoverGirl Line Exact liquid liner pen in Very Black and CoverGirl Smoky ShadowBlast in Onyx Smoke, according to the magazine.
Meanwhile, Lisa Cantello, make-up artist for Giorgio Armani cosmetics, has told WWD.com that the look she created for the Armani show at Milan Fashion Week was "a return to minimalism, but with a shot of glamour".
