Green eyes may be set to become a top trend after professional make-up artist Pat McGrath created the look for the Issa spring 2010 show.
Ms McGrath combined emerald and grey shadows with a soft black liner pencil to create a sultry effect.
"Vibrant shadows look great with black," the professional make-up artist explained to Elle.
She finished the emerald eyes with a touch of gold in the inner corners and a dab of turquoise at the outer edges, as well as "lots of mascara".
The professional make-up artist kept the rest of the models' faces relatively bare, with just nude lips and a peachy-orange blusher.
While the natural look has been predominant at the recent catwalk shows, there have also been plenty of bright colours around, with various experts suggesting that vibrant shades are the way to update the smoky eye.
Professional make-up artist Oonagh Connor told the Daily Mail that a three-tone effect is one of the top looks for bright eye shadows at the moment.
