Pregnant actress Natalie Portman opted for a long Viktor & Rolf dress in a delicate shade of peach that had a vivid red rose on the front. She accessorised with a diamond necklace, wore her hair in an up-do and finished the look with a flash of red lipstick, those with make-up artist jobs have been told.

Halle Berry chose a low cut black gown by Nina Ricci that had a sheer skirt, while Anne Hathaway went for an Armani Prive sequinned number and Michelle Williams chose a long dress with a daisy pattern.
