Professional make-up artists: Beauty products become 'playful'
Professional make-up artists: Beauty products become 'playful' People with make-up artist jobs who are on the lookout for new inspiration can now turn their attention to the catwalk.

Jessica Hogan wrote for Vogue.com: "Over London Fashion Week weekend, it has been the turn of make-up to take on a playful, art-class dimension."

The news source described how models at Louise Gray's autumn/winter 2011-12 show had a number of coloured dots in green, blue, orange, red and yellow applied to their faces.

Artwork that looked like it had been created by children was also debuted on models at Kinder Aggugini and Vivienne Westwood Red Label.

Ms Hogan recommended that those with make-up artist jobs use beauty products to make clients look "quirky and cool".

In addition, Kate Shapland, a beauty journalist, told the Daily Telegraph that there are a number of on-trend nails styles this season. She named one popular hue as being gun metal grey applied to squared off nails. Almost black shades are also in demand.
