Professional make-up artists create natural looks at LFW
Professional make-up artists create natural looks at LFW The natural look is being championed by professional make-up artists at London Fashion Week (LFW).

In contrast to the grunge trend that emerged from New York, fresh-faced models with minimalistic make-up have been seen across the pond in the British capital.

Hakaan Yildrim, Matthew Williamson and Julian Macdonald all went for the pared down look in their catwalk shows.

Professional make-up artist Charlotte Tilbury worked on Julian Macdonald's show and explained her aim was to create a bared-faced look as part of this less-is-more approach.

"We want the girls to look clean, like there's no make-up. It's simply healthy glowing skin with a pinched cheek. It's a no make-up make-up look," she said.

Nude lips have also continued to be seen at shows during LFW.

Professional make-up artists for Todd Lynn, Matthew Williamson and Hussein Chalayan all opted for neutral pouts, securing the nude colour as a trend for 2010.
