Those in make-up artists jobs can easily create the glitter trend recently seen on catwalks with a few essential items, according to celebrity make-up artist Jill McKay.
The expert suggested that professional make-up artists can go for an intense look on clients for the evening, in homage to the glitter recently seen applied to hands and nails at London Fashion Week.
Ms McKay said: "A good tip is to do your eyes first when working with glitter, as it can fall down the face and stick to your foundation."
Simply apply a cream eyeshadow as a base, before covering this with a layer of glitter. A lighter shade of colour can be blended along the lower lash line's inner part and in the corner of eyes.
For a more subtle look, use normal eyeliner on your upper lash line and add a second stroke of glitter eyeliner for flashes of glamour.
According to The Globe and Mail, shimmer can be applied to highlight key facial features and is more understated than glitter.
