The trend for silver-rimmed eyes is one that you should perhaps be taking note of as a professional make-up artist.
Susannah Edwards, writing for Elle magazine, said that the look - used by Preen for its spring/summer 2010 catwalk shows - could be set to become very popular, particularly since Hilary Duff went for her own take on it recently.
The professional make-up artist tending to Ms Duff ramped up the look for the red carpet, combining the silvery eyes with dramatic lashes and smoky lids.
L'Oreal creative director James Kaliardos told the magazine that the look is very "Kate Moss in the 1990s", being fresh and pretty.
Ms Edwards said that the best thing about this look is that adding silver to a deep smoky eye helps to widen those peepers.
Another trend to transfer from catwalk to the high street is metallic make-up, Sue Moxley recently pointed out in an article for the Sun.
