Professional make-up artists 'taking inspiration from the 1980s'
Professional make-up artists 'taking inspiration from the 1980s' One of the key fashion trends professional make-up artists may be asked for in the coming months is the 1980s look, it has been suggested.

Diane Aiello, beauty expert, has told ABC15.com that people are taking inspiration from this decade but warned that it is easy for these looks to be made over the top.

She suggested using matte shades of pink lipstick but emphasised the dangers that can be presented by pairing this with a bright eyeshadow, creating a "clownish" appearance.

Instead, she suggested pairing bright hues with neutral eye shadow shades – creating a more restrained look.

Ms Aiello added: "Another trick for women over forty is to blend gloss only around the lip line and a small stripe in the center of the lower lip to prevent lipstick from bleeding outside your lip line."

Professional make-up artists were recently told by Divine.ca's Marieve Inoue that eyelid primer is perfect for summer.
