People with have make-up artist jobs will be interested to hear about a new study that has found out the cost of beauty.
A survey by Debenhams found that women in the UK have £256 of make-up contained in their handbags for everyday use.
Research by the department store discovered that the average make-up bag is filled with 13 products, which cost £20 each on average.
Those with make-up artist jobs have been told that 95 per cent of females take their mascara everywhere, while 76 per cent did the same with foundation and 79 per cent with perfume.
"British women are renowned for their love of beauty products, as shown by the weight and worth of their well-stocked make-up bags. These cosmetics could contribute to an expensive and time-consuming loss should a handbag be lost or stolen. Without personal belongings insurance, the true cost of beauty could be an ugly surprise," Ruth Attridge, spokesperson for Debenhams, said.
Furthermore, Eleluk.com advised professional make-up artists to use statement lipstick to emphasise clients' lips.
