Classic Hollywood looks were favoured by plenty of stars at last night's Oscars as professional make-up artists went for a modern twist on the signature style.
The combination of statement lip and minimalistic makeup was chosen by
Sandra Bullock, Maggie Gyllenhaal and Cameron Diaz.
Robin Fredriksz was the professional make-up artist behind Ms Diaz's look. She chose a classic Hollywood style with a "modern but glamorous twist", giving the Charlie's Angels star a simple yet striking red lip.
Professional make-up artist Angela Levin also chose to channel Hollywood glamour but updated the traditional look with a fuchsia shade for the lip.
"I wanted her to look like the true movie star she is, so we went with modern classy Hollywood - dewy skin, soft eyes, and a bold classic red lip," she said.
Ms Bullock won best actress for The Blind Side, in which she plays "soccer mom" Leigh Anne Tuohy.
