Professional make-up artists 'will see pastel colours rise in popularity' Posted by Jeanette Morton

Professional make-up artists will see a rise in the number of people deploying pastel colours for their eye make-up, it has been suggested.

The Guardian has claimed that this will be one of the major trends of the season, suggesting that it has been backed by organisations such as Miu Miu.

Its heavy use of almond shades shows that the trend is one that is going to be big on both the catwalks and streets this year, the newspaper claimed.

"The good news is that pastels don't just look great in the packaging – they work on all shades, from pale to bronzed to deep, dark skin," it explained.

Alex Byrne, international make-up artist, highlighted products including the Dandelion brush and Barry M dazzle dust as key tools for helping professional make-up artists achieve this popular look.

Another key trend that will be dominating the fashion scene this year is the 1980s look, with ABC15.com beauty expert Diane Aiello claiming that people are tempering some of the more over-the-top trends of the decade and modernising the look for the 21st century.ADNFCR-2992-ID-19907122-ADNFCR
