Professional make-up artists: Women go for products under £5 A new study has revealed that women's favourite beauty products cost less than £5, those with make-up artist jobs will be interested to hear.

The research by Wellaflex Silvikrin Beauty found that four in ten females who were aged over 50 said that the products that they relied on the most were cheaper than £5, the Daily Mail reported.

Women chose Vaseline lip balm as their favourite product, followed by Neutrogena anti-ageing hand cream and E45 face wash. Also on the list was Pond's anti-ageing cream and Wash & Go shampoo.

Alice Hart-Davis, beauty expert and creator of www.goodthingsbeauty.com, said: "Women in their 50s might dream of using fancy anti-ageing potions but, particularly in the present economic climate, what they will actually spend their money on are the tried and trusted products that they know will work."

Furthermore, those with make-up artist jobs who are looking for an anti-wrinkle cream may wish to try Siana Moisturising Anti-Wrinkle Day Cream from Aldi, which only costs £1.89.
