People with makeup artist jobs have been advised to keep client's hands and nails in good condition during autumn and winter.
According to Katherine Reeves, of Nubar, a healthy nail specialist, two essentials should be purchased to do this; cuticle oil and hand lotion.
Those looking to become a professional makeup artist should use both in copious amounts to keep appendages and nails in optimum condition.
Cuticle oil will make sure that nails stay hydrated and strong. Clients should also be advised to apply this product to their hands before bed, so that it will really have time to sink in overnight.
In addition, Ms Reeves has suggested that gel polishes can be used to repair damaged nails. With this product, clients can get the colour they crave for nails, while strengthening them at the same time.
Ms Reeves added: "They [gel polishes] are guaranteed just to last and last."
