Professional photographers looking for inspiration for their latest shoot should look to Scarlett Johansson in her most recent D&G campaign.
The star of Iron Man 2 and The Black Dahlia posed for the brand for its Fall 2010 makeup collection and is looking beautifully gothic – with nearly-black lips, heavy-duty black eye makeup, extravagant false lashes and her usual porcelain skin.
Clad in a cropped black corset and leather lace-up hot pants, the actress is sprawled on a leopard print rug, creating an iconic scene, which also happens to debut this autumn's hottest makeup trend - the blackberry lip.
While we might expect the harsh black colours to completely wipe out any colour in the actress' skin, it works surprisingly well.
Ms Johansson follows in the footsteps of Beyonce, who recently went grunge in the campaign for her new clothing range – the Crazy In Love singer sported stick-on tattoos and black boots for the shoot.
