Those attending makeup school could experiment with glitter after pop star Sophie Ellis-Bextor was recently seen with sparkly cosmetics.
For her 31st birthday celebrations at London's Groucho nightclub, the Murder on the Dancefloor singer opted for dramatic gold and purple glitter eye makeup in order to get into the party spirit.
According to the Daily Mail, the star may start a new trend for flashy makeup, which she coordinated with a simpler approach for the rest of her face to make sure that all attention was on her eyes.
Pale foundation was used to give her a "porcelain" complexion, which is favoured by Girls Aloud singer Nicola Roberts over fake tan.
The newspaper reported that Ellis-Bextor said recently: "I think fake tan would be the worst idea. I'd look ridiculous so I'm never going to try."
However, despite a slow start to the year, there has been a recent boost in the number of people booking in for tanning sessions, beauty salon owner Belinda Price recently claimed.
