Sparkling jewel eyeshadows 'this season's must-have look'
Sparkling jewel eyeshadows 'this season's must-have look' Sparkling eyeshadow is said to be a key trend this season, with styles channelling the Studio 54 era.

This is according to makeup artist Jules Cardozo-Marsh who explained how autumn/winter looks are all about "over-the-top glamour".

For a "fun and modern" alternative to smoky eyes, the expert recommended using jewel tones on the entire eyelid.

It was noted the best way to achieve the style without spoiling foundation is to apply the sparkling shadow first and sweep away any excess from the face.

"For long-lasting grip, apply an eyeshadow primer over the entire eyelid then pack down your eyeshadow with a short, compact eyeshadow brush," Ms Cardozo-Marsh advised.

To complete the look, the expert recommended applying a shimmering golden beige shade to cheekbones for a "highlighter effect".

It was also suggested by Ms Cardozo-Marsh that elaborate, long false eyelashes are set to be a big beauty trend throughout winter 2011.
