All professional hair stylists are aware that hair ages, just as our faces do, but what are the tips to keeping as young looking as possible?
Speaking to Elle, a number of the best professional hair stylists in the business have shared their top ways to ensure their subjects' locks are always at their best.
Maria Nowakowska, creative director of Mahogany Hairdressing, London, said one no-no is elastic bands, suggesting using Kirby grips where possible to prevent the hair from breaking and snagging.
Trichologist Tony Maleedy told stylists to look out for any products with vegetable oils, olive, avocado and amino acids, as they can all help to reduce hair ageing and protect tresses from day to day damage.
Professional hair stylists can also pass on a healthy eating message to their customers, according to celebrity hairdresser Richard Ward, who recommended women "go for foods rich in blood producing nutrients like leafy green vegetables ... and superfoods like blueberries".
The summer crop is the latest look on the red carpet at the moment something which is a trend that is sure to catch on across the country.
