Top stylist names autumn's hottest hairstyles
Top stylist names autumn's hottest hairstyles A leading stylist has offered some ideas for other professional hair stylists.

Stephen Low told Stylist magazine how to create five chic looks for autumn - the top knot, the new bouffant, the casual beehive and the sleek pony.

Professional hair stylists creating the top knot will require a bristle brush, thickening spray and hair pins. The look features hair tightly brushed back which mushrooms out into a perfect, round top knot on the top of the clients head.

If you want to go for the new bouffant, think volume and lots of it. This hairstyle can be created in about 30 minutes using a bristle brush, volumising mousse and rollers.

The casual beehive is a more understated version of its 60s predecessor. Professional stylists will need hair pins, a bristle brush and thickening spray to achieve the look.

The sleek pony is created with rollers, volumising mousse and bungee elastics. Professional hair stylists who opt for this style will have clients with a smooth, sleek ponytail tightly held in place.

Kate Winslet recently wore the sleek pony to a photography exhibition in Spain. The actress finished off the ponytail with a low quiff, adding a twist to this season's hottest trend.
