Trends for professional make-up artists: Vivid lips and bedhead hair Posted by Maggie Lindsey

One of the key trends that will be seen on the catwalk this year will be bright, vivid lips contrasted with a face using an otherwise minimal amount of makeup, professional make-up artists may be interested to discover.

Lemondrop.com has highlighted the designs used by Chanel in its 2010 Haute Couture Shows as being one of the most extreme examples of this style.

The gold and brocades which characterised the designer's collection were contrasted with a relatively bare face – but punctuated with a burst of blood red on the lips.

Professional hair stylists may be interested in the models' hair, which was styled in a bedhead design – perhaps foreshadowing a heightened popularity of this look?

The website stated: "The hair is every girl's dream: totally mussed, with a just-got-out-of-bed-and-you-wish-you-did-what-I-did-last-night feel to it. Yes, we're jealous."

Earlier this month, GraziaDaily.co.uk claimed that Jennifer Aniston is a real professional hair stylist inspiration due to her willingness to make small alterations to her style.ADNFCR-2992-ID-19906080-ADNFCR
